The surprise that Nintendo has promised in the press release for Wii Shop Channel this week, is very likely the Commodore 64 games for virtual console in US.
LOL! Nintendo sure knows how to deliver!
That's better than I thought it would be. I assumed it would be a Mii Party channel, Everybody learns to count or something similar.
I have no desire to play Juniper Landing on the Wii. Did that back in the 80's and it wasn't that great to me.
you know what would be a great surprise, Nintendo, that people would actually CARE about? DK64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Eartbound, Mother, Banjo-Tooie, Majora's Mask, etc. Or maybe releasing Onslaught which looks so awesome onto Wiiware. XBLA doesnt even have a first person shooter (besides DOOM)
nice surprise lol
Nintendo really knows how to ASC, you know bro! ASC
Damn i was hoping for Amiga games not C64
U should be moving forwards not backwards. I sense flop
And, in Europe the pricing for a C64-game is 500 points, which i think is really expencive for a C64-game. More flop. :P
and there's an EPIC list of them available. ALL of which can be played for free right now.
C64 games have been available for download in europe for long time now. Wow, what a great surprise that american people can now do the same, great news....NOT!!
Hey C64 is a great addition even if you can illegally download them elsewhere -.- I still have that boxed up somewhere :) VC just keeps proving it's the best for your old school needs.
Rocket Ranger and Defender of the Crown... on AMIGA 500 please.
Although I'm not excited about this addition, I'm sure many pc gamers are. Its nice to see The Virtual Console expand again.
Its funny how Nintendo believes that bringing things back from the past is an exciting and giant leap forward. I like their spirit, but does anybody want to power up their supposedly "Next Gen" Wii console to play ancient games? Where is the innovation in that?
All this means to me is that there is yet another console's worth of games to add to the pool. This will cause a delay for games that I actually want on the VC.
Is theoretically a very innovative and impressive addition to a "Next-gen" videogame system... But at this point they should be more worried about creating 1st party games, or pushing out games for the hardcore crowd. I only have 3 games on my virtual console...Mario Bros., Mario Bros. 3, and Splatterhouse... (I know weird choices) After that I lost interest in going backwards, I wanna play something NEW. Stop porting Gamecube games like metroid prime for the wii and make something NEW! [email protected] this Sh!t! I was so happy when I first got a Wii, got it under the table during the drought back when it first came out. Now instead of a wii game collection, I have a collection of dust on my wii.
