While FEAR 2 isn't the be-all, end-all of either horror games or first person shooters, it successfully builds on the strengths and eliminates most of the issues found in the previous games. The game might be easier than expected and it probably won't leave you terrified of playing it at night, but it successfully creates a sense of atmosphere, mixed with some really intense combat. FEAR 2 might not be a revolutionary title, but its a damn fun game. 8.8/10
