40% of DVDs and CDs? I gotta go tomorrow.
Time to pick up some new blu rays:)
40 percent off games too. Just picked up Dead Space for $35
hey stoney what other good ps3 games were on discount?
There are alot, but there were way more 360 games left than PS3 games which kinda made me pissed since I have a PS3, but there's still plenty of games and every game is on 40% off. But anyways, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Bioshock, and alot of other good PS3 games were there.
hmm, i wonder if they have any time capsules left... 40% off 300 bucks is a good chunk of cash..
man PS3 was killing it over here in Burnsville Minnesota. freaking just saw more 360 games out laying about, only PS3 games left were in glass cases. 10 Guitar Hero the new one dont know what the rest of its name was. tvs cleared out. Wii selling games like crazy only console that wasnt was the 360 which makes me wonder why ppl like pog, 360 man, agent vx, saint sony and the other a$$es think that PS3 is dying
maybe because the ps3 games werent worth picking up at full price whereas the 360 games were when they launched? :P
Hey sweet how were the sales at the burnsville one I live in faribault MN, and i was wondering if it was worth my time?
It was the same in the smaller city of St. Clairsville, OH (it's about a 5-10 minute drive from Wheeling, WV, which is an hour away from Pittsburgh, PA). They had more 360 games still in stock than games for any other platform (they had SD vs. RAW 2009 for the 360 still, but I would've gotten it for the PS3 anyway since I have more friends on PSN. Don't have any yet on XBL just yet, hit me up with an invite next time you fire either up, darkpowrjd for both XBL and PSN).
Heh, guess I'll go tomorrow.
the only problems is that it's 40% off MSRP Price.. so BLu-rays still like 20-29$ on Sale LOL... you'll have to wait until the last month
cool thx stone
I checked the 3 Circuit City stores in my area, total opposite....WAY more PS3 games then 360. Only 360 titles left were Soul Calibur 4, The Simpons Game and the GH bundles, tons of PS3 stuff sitting around in the 3 stores I checked in central PA. Also, quite a number of Wii games, but barley any DS or PSP.
so.... what about laptops?
That is actually one of the things I was looking for when I went in there. They had some really high prices with 30% off, and I can most certainly tell you they were not a good deal. Like my post down below, they mark the prices up with the stickers that they put over the original and then say 30% off that so if the laptop normally cost 499, they mark it up to 699 or more and then take 30% off. Let's say they mark it up to 750, it 30% of that is 525. So like I said, do your shopping and compare prices before you think you are getting a "deal".
A cpuple of my buds work in Loss Prevention at a Circuit City. They said the stores plan to DONE with operations in mid-march. Those last 2 weeks will be crazy. Wait it out. Also, dont be afraid to cozy up to some of the employees. they are losing their jobs and they need moeny for their families---slide them 300-400 bucks and you could walk out with a 32-40in HDTV. They sold me a 27in Proview Monitor for 200$, and I came back after hours and picked it up.
I went there and could not find any deals and I am a bargain hunter. If you look at the labels of the products they are selling, they have a sticker over it. the reason for this is that they jacked the price up and then say it's 30-40% off and it actually comes out to more than what it costs normally. Take the jump drives. those are relatively cheap nowadays and they had a 4g for 35.00 and it was 30% off. I peeled up the sticker and the original price was 17.99!!! If you do the math there that is a rip off, it would be 24.50+ tax for the "30% off" The only thing that wasn't a rip off was some of the games. Not all of the games were a good deal they had old games that were 29-39 for quite some time now and were charging 59.99 for. I can't recall what they were, but I was like what the hell. now if you find a game that is 59.99 and that is the price everywhere else, then that is a good deal. All I am saying is be careful. You might think that you are getting a deal when you really are not. do like Joey Greco Rules says, try to get something on the low from one of the employees whereas that is a great deal.
...and there wasn't much left to pick through. I'd say there were equal amounts of PS3 games and 360 games. I was oh so tempted to get Resistance 2 (PS3) and Prince of Persia (360) for about $36 each but I decided against it since I'm getting GTA IV DLC tomorrow, Killzone 2 and Halo Wars. Plus I found a few Ebay listings that were selling those games for about the same price. The Blu-Ray selection was horrible. There wasn't anything left really that was worth it. I've been into CC at least three or four times since the liquidation was announced, and I've walked out empty handed each time.
for a 46 inch 1080p LCD tv, so I will head up there on friday. I don't expect to find what I want though because I have already been up there once (the day that the liquidation sales started) and walked out shaking my head in disgust. I had never been to a liquidation sale before so I was expecting these incredible deals and there was NOTHING! I did find Guitar Hero 3 Aerosmith for forty dollars which I thought was pretty amazing since it came with the aerosmith guitar and everything. I really hope I can find a nice samsung or sony LCD. Fingers crossed!
