Review of Def Jam : Icon

From the review : "Only New York Fashion Week can rival the high-concept style in this star-studded hip-hop game. Players (or playas) build a record label by winning money in brutal street-style brawls and can deliver a good pounding to Ludacris, Lil John or any other Def Jam artist who happens to be on the receiving end of your best knuckle sandwich. Too bad the slow-as-molasses combat (and all-too-savvy computer-controlled opponents) keep this fighter from rivaling classics like Tekken, Street Fighter and Soul Calibur, but the innovative use of music, as both an aesthetic and a weapon, adds depth to the game. Factor in the detailed character creator and intriguing Build a Label story mode, and Def Jam: Icon still deserves a spin in the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3." (Def Jam: Icon, PS3, Xbox 360) -
