During a Comic Con panel, Ken Levine was asked if his next game would include a multiplayer mode, to which he responded with: "Not interested in multiplayer space, but COD guys do what they do well."
Thank you Ken! So many potentially great single player games are ruined when a developer feels the need to shoehorn a MP element into their game and spread out their resources. You get lots of vocal whiners when a game doesn't have it but then revisit the game 3 months after release and all those whiners have moved on to new games. Glad to see some developers still hold up the campaign/single player experience as the reason to own their game. That is not to say I don't appreciate MP it's just many dev's put it in because they feel they have to even if they don't want to. Bioshock 2 is going to miss you!
Especially when you consider how it is a waste of resources to make a tacked-on multi which will not even be played online when the Next Big Thing comes to multi online gaming.... Seriously, MOH Airborne's multi might still be played if it had offline split screen or system link (especially with bots), but it was a waste to make the online only multi wasn't it? They could have worked harder on the single player AI.
well said crab mp and coop are there to enhance the game but not at the cost of the single player campain
BioShock was still good right?
