IGN: Wii: Publish Me Now

It's 2009 and Wii's software release list is off to a great start with games like Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, Deadly Creatures, House of the Dead: Overkill and MadWorld either out already or shipping soon. And certainly, with big Nintendo projects like Punch-Out!! and Sin & Punishment 2, not to mention third-party efforts like Dead Space and The Conduit, just on the horizon, the year is looking very good indeed.

But a glance at the global release schedule reveals that publishers, both Nintendo and third-parties, are still failing to move some major Japanese releases stateside -- not throwaway projects, but ambitious, anticipated games. Many of these titles have been available overseas since the first half of last year and yet they still don't have a confirmed American release date

The story is too old to be commented.

Fatal Frame IV needs a western release! That way all that "Wii is kiddy" nonsense is silenced for good.Come on Tecmo.

Nothing like a real horror game to scare even the most "hardcore" gamers

I wasn't really looking that forward to Fragile until I saw that video on IGN. I really want this game, now. Shame about the combat though. I think the game would probably be better without t.

Woo, I'm really happy to see them put the odds of a US release of Fragile at "High." I was afraid I'd never get a chance to play what looked like the Wii's best RPG thus far.

Boo, however, at Nintendo probably denying us Captain Rainbow and Disaster.

Yep they are all on the list, hell I'll import if I have to!

If nintendo brings over Fragile, Fatal Frame, and Disaster I will buy a Wii, until then nintendo isn't getting any of my money.

2 of those games got bad reviews. So you want Nintendo to bring bad games over and if they do you will support them but having the highest rated games this gen just isnt worth you supporting them? Sorry but thats the most retarded thing I have ever read.

Bad reviews?

Yes, Disaster got very mediocre reviews, but not terrible ones. Although I can see why iffy reviews and dismal sales would make them hesitant to release it in the U.S.

What other game were you referring too? Fatal Frame hasn't been reviewed by many Western publications yet, but the Japanese reviews were largely in the 80s, if I remember right. Fragile was just released in Japan, but the reception seems to be pretty positive thus far.
