The ten best franchises in video game history.
Solid list. Predictable but good.
I'm quite surprised by the inclusion of a PC game on an OW list
I agree. I feel that Metroid could be replaced by say Sonic, Resident Evil or a number of other franchises but otherwise good.
It is a solid list. I don't know if I agree with everything, but these are all fantastic IP's. I would definitely have Castlevania, Mario, Zelda, Metal Gear, and Metroid on my list. I'd probably leave out Mega Man, but that's just me. Anyway, good list.
It's Old Wizard, what do you expect?
Why do you have so many accounts? Do you just like getting alot of degrees with the accounts? You've already used 2 accounts(Odin and Roses) already where is the the others including,Volvo bug,Swedish flag guy,Mountian Maverick,Hixon4Life,Swedenborg ,DDP,TinyDancer,Samus2080? You're odd.
There's no Sonic. What a suprise!
how is mario broing?
Pokemon would be on there. There have been a ridiculous number of them sold and it's milked pretty hard. -CadDad
1. Mario (201 million) 2. Pokémon (180 million) 3. The Sims (100 million) 4. Need for Speed (Almost 100 million) 5. Final Fantasy (85 million) 6. Grand Theft Auto (70 million) 7. Madden NFL (70 million) 8. Tetris (70 million) 9. FIFA (65 million) 10. Tom Clancy (55 million, includes Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and Splinter Cell franchises)
Based off numbers? I thought Gran Turismo had huge numbers as well. not sure though... Looked it up. Only 40 million total. I guess for only like 3 and 1/2 total games though thats pretty amazing compared to mario which... Well here's the link to all mario and mario related games... http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
I don't think that list is correct. mpmaley's list is more accurate I think.
I would put Ratchet and Clank somewhere on that list, along with Grand Theft Auto.
Halo, Gran Turismo, Sonic...? Could also make a case for the Sims.
