Somewhat unexpected Garmin and Asus has created a joint business unit for what the two companies call location-centric mobile phones and the first product to come out of the joint venture is the nüvifone G60, which until now has been simply known as the nüvifone.

However, as unexpected as this new company and product co-branding might be, it makes a lot of sense, as Asus was already making the nüvifone for Garmin and the two companies have different expertise which this way should be able to be better utilized."
