Digital Life writes: "Not so long ago, Asus was a traditional Taiwanese company famous only for computer components. However, the company has made great efforts in recent years to produce consumer electronics that are desired by non-techie folk. First we saw leather-bound laptops modelled by Jennifer Hawkins and then the kid-friendly Eee PC appeared. Now, in a nod to the environment, we have a laptop clad in sustainable bamboo.
Some love it; some think it looks daft. We certainly applaud the company for trying something different. The laptop has proven popular in the Asian markets and time will tell how it will fare in Australia."
