IGN: Virtual Console on DSi?

Even before Nintendo locked down the name "Wii" for its next-generation console, the company had already planned out one specific feature for the gaming device: to enable users to download games from Nintendo systems past. A "virtual console," Nintendo called it during its press conference during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2005. It's a name that stuck, and in November 2006 – the launch of the Wii system in the US – the Virtual Console went live on the Wii Shop Channel.

The DSi is the next step in Nintendo's classic revival service, but how likely is it that it could happen?
