Most of the time, when I talk about upgrades, the discussion usually revolves around PC upgrades. Recently, though, I've upgraded other gear I use frequently, and it's worth talking about it. In one case, a purely impulse buy later resulted in a more serious upgrade. We'll get to that in a bit.
When you upgrade something, there should be a reason. It could be something as simple as "I want it." Even "I want it" should at least be followed up with a little research. All too often, we jump on something that looks cool, whip out the credit card, and find out we've gotten something that's not quite what we wanted.
