Epic Explains Gears of War Error

Recently players of Gears of War on PC found the title was no longer able to launch. Epic Games responded to our inquiry regarding what the problem was and what's being done to fix it. The following is from studio vice president Mark Rein.

"The online cheat detection features in Gears of War for Windows are based on digital signatures. Well, we made an embarrassing mistake: we signed the executable with a certificate that expired in a way that broke the game.

Nothing that a No-DVD crack wont fix. Or custom executable. Yet again Pirates 3 million, Developers and honest consumers 0.

What is there to even explain ? That yet again a game got useless securities that screw legit owners while pirates enjoy the games without probs ?

At some point one journalist gotta ask them devs and publishers straight , arent they actually somehow rooting for piracy and trying to drive retail business in the ground ?
