Last week it was announced that Ubisoft was releasing a multiplayer demo of GRAW 2 and today you can download it for yourself! The demo is about 310 megs and now available via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Now I wont be able to get off work fast enough. *SIGH~ 4 1/2 hours to go.
just finished my first game. there is only one map and one game type (takedown) but the game looks a little bit better than GRAW its pretty much the same game with better visuals. And you still can't take cover like in the single player game WTF? I thought it was called advanced warfighter? What kind of advanced warfighter cant take cover behind walls? I think Ubisoft deserves some crap for this. it looks like they touched up the graphics and ported the old game over to a new disc.
i like the first one but the new one just doesn't seem to offer hardly anything new and who would buy this game for the story. but still suprised yet another demo for xblive and not the sony network
TRASH! THEY HAVE REALLY F'ED UP THIS SERIES! ONLINE MODE IS COMPLETE TRASH!
was it just me or did the people seem to float rather than walk/run. never thought id skip a ghoast recon game, but this might be the first
That bad huH! anyways cover in GRAW in multi player would be like cover in Lost Planet multi player why is that so hard to understand. I guess it could work with 4 or 5 people in a hallway shaped map. That's too bad the game sucks.
Well from what I can tell, in searhing the UbiSoft Graw forums there was a pretty large debate about whether or not to include cover in the multiplayer. In reading the threads a vast majority of the fans there were saying dont put it in. I personally would have liked to see it implemented for selfish reasons...but a cover system would make mulitplayer single kill deathmatch games VERY, VERY long. So they opted to keep it out and keep the games moving at a faster pace. As for the game itself. I played the single player demo and it was better than the 1st GRAW. I have a very hard time believing that somehow mulitplayer is screwed up now. I downloaded it this morning and will check it out at lunch. My guess ...its as good as before.
Ok not sure what everyone is crying about here. Everything felt pretty smooth in the few matches I played. Graphically the multiplayer looked really good. Shadows play a larger part as you come in and out of them. Everything just had a better look and feel to it than the first GRAW. Sound wise...well its hard to tell. Honestly I loved the first GRAW's sound and this seems to match that. It might be improved but to my ears it was on par. Cover system (lack of)...Ok really this is not an issue. I was with most of you and loved the R6 cover system...felt cool and fun. I loved it in GeoW and R6 but it honestly is hardly realistic in a real fire fight...save for blind fire...that is pretty realistic IMO. Anyway, you can lean around corners with gun pointed ...this is much more true to life btw. NOBODY in combat will peek around a corner with just their head...it's a sure fire way to die. You peek around the corner with your gun trained that way you can fire immediately if needed. As for the "peek"...a trained soilder will take a few steps back and then ease around the corner with gun up and ready...again giving you a clean line of fire and a better opportunity to return fire. Using just your face gives you ZERO chance if the enemy knows you are there...i.e. your face becomes target practice. Cover systems like GeoW do make for fun gaming...but its just not realistic...and GRAW has always been about trying to be more realistic. Controls, The controls are almost identical to the first Graw. Really not sure what peopler are moaning about. Its a solid control system that is easy enough to use. Really I don't see why anyone takes issue with it. 1st Person View - I know some complain about the lack of a gun in the 1st person view. As long as I can remember the Ghost Recon games have never had a gun view. I think they may have had one for the PC this last time out...but its always been a view with no gun on the consoles. It would be nice for immersion factor but honestly its not needed. The game play is still solid enough with out. I am guessing an 8.5 for this game. I don't know they have done enough changes to warrant a score higher than this given its a sequel...but it is definitely BETTER than the first GRAW from all I have played (single & multi demo's).
f***ing hell this freaking demo comes out when my freaking arm is broken man this sucks.
i'm disapointed!the only good thing is the graphics!no cover.....and the controls SUCKS !!! ive played in first person view (because i hate third person view) and its almost unplayable!its one of the worst control i've ever seen!and finally we still dont see the gun in first person view....seriously i'll pass on this one!rainbow six:vegas is still the king!
the change off the overall colour off the game. When I start the round the screen looks very light and bland, than suddenly it changes to a more deep and contrasted look. This keeps changing during the round. GRAW 1 multiplayer had the same problem for me. Is it my xbox? I never heard anybody else about it. I know it's not my tv that's the problem. Anyone?
