No Heavy Rain Until 2010?

It is only a few weeks into 2009, and already GamesRadar has seen what is likely the first of many games shoved from their comfortable 2009 release dates into the uncertain depths of 2010.

guys, why are people allowing gamesradar articles on this? they are the equivalent of a forum post on gametrailers... fanboys all over, its garbage, not credible and doesnt deserve site hits. stop posting their articles and quit clicking on their website...its garbage

It is ironic that you say that on N4G, which is owned by the same company.

Gameyrader has no creditability at all when they supposedly "Review Preview" of games and with no actual reason "reviewed" KZ2 a 5/10.

They even try to defend those statements at Neogaf and got burnt.

Evilninja3160d ago (Edited 3160d ago )

The 5/10 "review" for KZ2 was part of a larger, tongue-in-cheek article in which a bunch of editors got together and gave out tentative scores to games that were on display at last year's E3, based on 10 minutes of play. The article said as much. It was never meant to be taken seriously as anything other than preliminary impressions of unfinished games.

well despite all that...they do simply say HR will not hit 2009 'just because'...

they don't believe the release date...because they 'don't like release dates anymore' because MGS4 was delayed out of 2007...and they say 'tricky hardware' is also the problem...

what...ever...that site is trash...plain and simple...there is absolutely no justification for what they are saying...that is why people have a problem with them...its bait...always...and nothing more...

Evilninja3160d ago (Edited 3160d ago )

>they don't believe the release date...because they 'don't like release dates anymore' because MGS4 was delayed out of 2007...and they say 'tricky hardware' is also the problem...

No, they say: "Well, the trailer says 2009, and Heavy Rain has been called Sony’s “most important” game of 2009 by David Cage, founder of developer Quantic Dream, which indicates that the company is at least planning to get the game out the door sometime this year. However, the combination of reportedly tricky-to-program-for machinery, a small development team and one of the most graphically ambitious adventure games ever does not fill us with confidence.

"And really, we haven’t trusted release dates on trailers since Metal Gear Solid 4 kept getting pushed back, so the “2009” date for this eerie suspense story is already suspect."

Seriously, you read that and thought they said they "don't like release dates anymore?"

Ignore, delete, etc.

Whats funny are the lists of Sonys lineup that I have seen on here in just about every article. It just keeps getitng smaller and smaller and there only retlaiation is the 360/pc argument. I would rather share a game with the PC then to not get it a all. Its ok though, 2010 is right around the corner.......Just Wait........................

Now I finally understand why this site is the way it is.

Gameyradar just wants hits like most sites these days. These guys aren't journalists, they know their grammar, but they sure as hell don't bother to write objective and fair articles. They write whatever generates the most views.

Why otherwise would they name the article "No Heavy Rain until 2010?". Writing negative things about the Playstation 3 or Sony in general seems to generate the most hits these days, and they state themselves that David Cage has said that Heavy Rain might be Sony's most important game of 2009. As such, the reason behind the name is obvious.

The article itself isn't too bad since they don't hide the fact that they're just speculating. They do however throw in a few "looks dull"; "not impressive" comments to generate a little more buzz among the fanboys.

@2

How about we choose the articles we read. Don't like GR? Don't click the link. It's as simple as that broseph.

GamesRadar likes to have fun. I know, I frequent it more than N4G. N4G is nice for info, but it's like watching the news. GamesRadar is like watching a funny news program like the ones on Comedy Central.

FudRadar is really getting on my nerves. I've read the article, I'm just tired of the website.
