Epic Readying Massive Unreal Tournament 3 Patch, Adding Steam Achievements

Developer Epic has spilled the beans on a forthcoming major patch for the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3, which will pack Steam achievements and other tweaks.

The Steam achievements will only be available to those that installed the game through Valve's digital distribution platform, though the other changes will be available to all.

The developer also revealed that it's readying collection of bonus maps dubbed the Titan Pack, with lead designer Steve Polge telling BeyondUnreal that it will be "substantially bigger than any bonus pack we've released in the past."

if this had ps3 trophies me and about 25 of my m8s would be playing it again

Sarcasm3242d ago

Sadly to say, you guys probably would be the only 25 playing.

That's not true.

Millions of gamers play UTIII constantly. Unfortunately, nobody bought it. It set the record for most illegal downloads. That should tell you something.

UT3 actually sold two million copies worldwide on the PC, I believe. It's unfortunate that the game is such utter crap, though. Very, very few people play it online. There are only a couple hundred people playing it online right now with a peak of a couple thousand, and that is pathetic. Epic royally screwed up on this game, and look no further for proof than the fact that there are many times more people who play UT2004. Hell, there are even more online players of the original Unreal Tournament than UT3.

If it had come 6 months ago it'd had worked wonders.

I'm excited.

I have the PC and PS3 versions...to transfer mods I make.

I friggin love that game! But I feel it's too late to do this now. They should've hosted this earlier and more frequently.
