Industry trends for 2009: Ubisoft

Last year did not finish with the sales success that French publishing giant Ubisoft would have been hoping for, with the likes of Prince of Persia, Far Cry 2 and Tom Clancy's EndWar failing to set the charts alight.

But as Screen Play readers discovered late last year after our exclusive chat with Alain Corre, Ubisoft has ambitious plans for the years ahead, including increasingly targeting the burgeoning "casual" market.

Today Edward Fong, General Manager at Ubisoft Australia, shares his thoughts on game industry trends for 2009, including subjects like improving Wii games, game pricing, the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo and digital distribution.
