Best Buy Co. Inc. stores on Sun. will sell a discounted bundle that includes Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 and a Bravia HDTV. The bundle features a Bravia 32" Class 1080p LCD HDTV and an 80GB PS3 for $1099.98 after a $400 instant savings.
its like saying with every Bravia 32" Class 1080p LCD HDTV you get a free 80GB PS3 :D
LOL, Yeah. Good offer if you have the dough.
I bought an 37" BraviaXBR6 from Best Buy November of last year for my room and ((love it)). It was around$1,900 with the warranty, but damn, this is a really good & tempting deal as well, simply on principal. @the loud "orange cow guy" - stop acting like a heathen. Some people aren't aware of the deals and maybe don't get to read the papers as much as you.
Ground breaking news!!!! Best buy has NEVER done THAT before!!! Seriously, am I the only one who looks at the best buy ads? They've been doing this since it's release. All sorts of bundles of PS3 and 1080p TVs.
I just got back from looking at TVs, at Best Buy. Too bad I already have a PS3.
A second one wouldn't hurt :)
A second one wouldn't hurt :) I have 2 myself 60gb & 80gb ps3
The power of the CELL will melt that puny 32'' tv. You need 42'' or higher to truly appreciate the awesomeness of the PS3.
and it looks fantastic, but boy I wouldn't mind one a little bigger; opf course that would take me into the $3,000 range for the proper rig.
Best Buy STILL can't compete with BrandSmart USA. I just got a second LG plasma to go in our bedroom...42"...for $700. LG kicks Sony to the curb in both quality AND price...and most of the hardware in the Sony comes from LG, to boot.
LG Tvs are ugly, best picture for the price you gotta go with the Samsung Ln52a650
I am in the market for a new television. I already have a 32" Olevia 720p television that my PS3 is hooked up to through HDMI and it looks great; but now I am looking for a television at the 46" size (1080p) to put in my basement at which point I will move my PS3 down there on that television. I am interested in the Samsung 46" 1080p LCD's but one of my friends mentioned that the refresh rates are bad on LCD's so I need to go with plasma or DLP. Is this true? I haven't noticed anything with my current Olevia 32" 720p LCD and it doesn't have any of those special features like the 120 Hz refresh rate or 6ms response speed. The only thing that bothers me with that one is the size which makes it difficult to read things like menus in some games (call of duty for example). I will leave my question at that and would love to hear from some of you guys regarding your opinions with what I need to look into. Thanks!! EDIT: Thanks EnVIable I am looking up the info on that samsung you mentioned already!! I gave you a bubble. Free bubbles to anybody else who gives me info!! You can't resist that! :) PSN Frodo25
samsung 46" 1080p is good choice. And, LCD is better value than plasma. refresh rate (4ms/6ms or even 8ms) on lcd is just fine. If you are sport lover go 120hz otherwise 60hz is more than enough. By the way, Sony or Samsung Tvs are leaves olevia in dust. The quality is not even comparable. I used to have olevia and vizio. I finally settle down with bravia 40" which is far better.
I LOVE talking TV's!! Ok so little background, when LCD's released they were 60HZ refresh rate and plasmas were roughly 480HZ. (Plasmas were never boasting about that til 120 HZ LCD's came along, both look amazing) Anyways I'm going to leave out DLP's, I'm not a fan so I don't bother. Lcd's = better colors and Plasmas = darker more accurate blacks (Pioneer Kuro (Plasma) for instance it's black levels are what they call "Absolute black") Plasma's generally have a better contrast ratio (Difference between the darkest dark and the whitest white) LCD's generally are confusing and those manufacturers lie out their asses. They use "dynamic" contrast ratio's so that the screen changes settings to try and make it better, but usually the "static" ratio is 1/3 of what they tell you at the store. (confusing) ANYWAYS 60HZ is fine for gaming because from what I know 120HZ will not affect the image of a game whatsoever. BUT 120hz will be great for sports, blu rays etc and you're more future proof. so what to look for in brands would be Pioneer, Panasonic, Sony and Samsung. (My opinion obviously) High Contrast Ratio - The higher the better. Most now are godly figures like 1,000,000:1 Like I said this is almost a joke anymore, but as long as it's high it should look great. 60 Vs 120Hz - if you buy blu-rays don't short-change yourself, go to Best Buy and have them show you the comparison. If you like the realism 120Hz brings, go that route, if you don't, go 60Hz. Some people think it looks fake almost. Or you could check out backlit LCD TV's, wait a lil bit and REALLY future proof your life... It basically means a LCD with like 1200 Led lights in the back that can turn completely off and completely on instantly so you get instant black, and than instant color. Check em out, sorry for the rant but I hope you read it and it helped with your informing you a little bit.
Hey no problem man, I did extensive research before i bought my Tv which is an Ln52a650, and by what I have read and seen, the only tv that is better than the one i bought would be the new Pioneer Elite Kuro which is like $5000 for a 50", anyways good luck tv shopping it can be fun and frustrating too.. Oh and thanks for the bubble.
already got 60gig ps3 with 40" bravia v4100 (1080p). set it up with Bose. Excellent pic with excellent sound :D
especially considering the price and tv you get if i didn't have a PS3 i would take that deal
Desperate situations call for desperate measures.
the den has the 32"xbr and the PS3....sweet gamming setup
I'm thinking of getting a new, bigger HDTV soon. I'm stuck with a piece of crap 26" 720p Vizio... >.>
Yea dude you need to upgrade
A Deal like this is great for anyone looking to jump into the 7th Generation of Consoles. Myself I picked up a Ps3 Jan 07, with a Sony Bravia 40in 1080p set 8 months later, and this past week I got a Denon 7.1 reciver from Circuit city closing for 220$.(Original price of $550) Now Ive got a full theater room going.
for the information guys. Especially thanks to PS360wiirocks and enviable...I think I just might go with the Samsung 46" 1080p. (LN46a650). That oughta make my PS3 games and blu-rays sing!!! PSN: Frodo25
