IGN: Dragon Quest V Hands-On

With Dragon Quest V, the game is already got a lot going for it. As with any RPG series, the "best of the best" so to speak are always up for debate, but DQV is hands-down one of the strongest, as it wrapped in story-changing decision making, the ability to capture monsters (which later morphed into the Dragon Quest Monster series), and the traditional turn-based battle system that the series is so well known for.

Now over 15 years since its original release on Super Famicom in Japan, gamers are just now getting the first US offering of the game, so while it still has the same exact presentation "stale-ness", if you will, that Dragon Quest IV had, it's also an entirely fresh game, and that goes a long way when tryin to justify a $40 price tag on DS.

The story is too old to be commented.
