IncGamers: Revisiting 'War in Middle Earth' (Retro Feature)

IncGamers' Peter Parrish has started the way-back-machine and travelled back to 1988, when elbourne House's 'War in Middle Earth' was a new, modern and technologically impressive game.

With the 'Lord of the Rings: Conquest' release this month, Parrish gives us an opportunity to check out the roots of the game. Back to the colourful 80's!

I'm ashamed to admit I remember that game. Why does it look so bad now... I was sure it had the best graphics ever! ;)

George RR Martin's a Song of Ice and Fire really needs doing!!!

This game sounds great for its time and I guess you can explain the "I don't care" aproach to the characters was their attempt at a "free world" game, which I'm sure must've been quite unique at the time!
