It's not surprising this process takes so long when you consider how thorough these guys at Blizzard are.

Yeah. I can also understand why they don't make the WoW full movie in 3D. It's just more expensive and would take more time! =P

Blizzard Cinematic team is focusing their time in creating the trailers for Starcraft II and Diablo III. Starcraft and Warcraft 3 had cinematics in between campaigns or at the beginning or end of the campaigns.

With Starcraft II now a trilogy, it is gonna keep them quite busy. It would be better suited to have a company such as Pixar or Legendary Pictures do the animation work since they got the budget and the CGI computer farms to do it.

Dorjan3344d ago

Yeah that's a point. Blizzard prob doesn't have a cinimatics team just for WoW do they?

SC2 would be eating thier time atm!

Leord3344d ago

That's likely true, but the same thing goes for them. Would they forego another Wall-e to make a WarCraft movie?

Awesome interview. There are three pre-rendered animation footage showing you how the models and animation look like without textures. Hopefully it inspires college 3D/Animation artists and aficionados.

alot of this is on the collectors edition dvd but it's still awesome lol

Leord3344d ago

Is it? Cool!

Lol, are they releasing it to everyone now then, a little bit of a bummer to CE buyers!

Medievaldragon3344d ago

Considering maybe 70,000 Collector's Edition are made, versus 11 million players worldwide, I guess it is good the majority is able to get a sneak peek behind the scenes.
