3-year-old subjected to porn on Xbox Live UNO

Gamezine:

"Father and three-year-old daughter subjected to pornography whilst playing UNO on Xbox Live.

What game is more innocent than UNO? The classic children's card game was brought to Xbox Live Arcade by Carbonated Games and Microsoft Game Studios in 2006. The game offers multiplayer for up to four, where players can drop in and out of games at any point.

UNO also supports the Xbox Live Vision camera, which allows opponents to view an image of other players whilst playing the game. What better game to help demonstrate the family fun of Xbox Live?

One helpful brother explains how he was showing his sister how to play an online Xbox Live game by creating an open UNO game. His Xbox Live Vision camera was turned on - showing him, his sister, and his three-year-old daughter sitting on his lap.

What happens next is unbelievable."

unfortunate that this happened but hopefully this serves as a lesson to all that you take a risk when going online to play games. Same as if you watch a movie with a 3 year old w/o doing the necessary research on the level of violence, nudity, etc.

And I hope this isn't politized as all games are evil and dangerous to our families and young. That is just not true.

360 man3439d ago

please this is nothing

on many occasions ive seen women doing full blown sex shows on uno

even some with the camera zoomed up to there ginys

uno is a 3+ rated game but when its gets above 10 o clock it turns to a 18 rated game

its gotten so bad people dont even go on uno to play uno, they go on uno for all the crazyness

ChrisGTR13439d ago (Edited 3439d ago )

xbox live is a scary place.anyone under 14 shouldnt play online.

pixelsword3439d ago (Edited 3439d ago )

that people would take advantage of camera usage for porn like that or that people accept it, despite UNO being a game for ages 3+... not considering that someone young could be online.

Yeah, I know you said that "after 10" things get kinky or whatnot, but you have to remember "10" is subjective, as there are things like timezones.

I mean, I'm not trying to judge them, but if they want to get freaky like that, they should invest in a service to do so instead of invading a kid's game to be perverts.

the problem are not the parents, the problem is not the internet or xbox live. The problem is that society in general, is Fu!<ed up!

If you see a gun, it doesnt mean you should use it.

if you see a window and through it you see a girl taking her clothe of it doesn't mean you should stay and watch.

But as you can see from my two examples, some choices are harder to resist than others, still doesnt make them right though.

i just pray i have the strength and good fortune to be far away when you! do something stupid.

The camera's for consoles are just a bad idea all around.

acedoh3439d ago

that if someone is having a child play a game online they would keep video feed off. It makes no sense that people would take that chance. There are really too many people that want to expose others to their strange world. Parents need to be more responsible in censoring what their children may be exposed to...

ChrisGTR13439d ago

anyone thats played uno before knows that playing uno online at night is asking for something nasty. man , along time ago when i bought the stupid camera some gay guy kept stalking me, really creepy , i dunno if he was gay or just pretending to be. gross though.

I don't allow my daughter access to live and other players. Especially with the webcam. It would be no different then putting my daughter in front of a PC and saying go ahead honey have fun.

There are specific precautions set into the XBox 360 that allows you to control access to such areas.

The primary issue was allowing your daughter to be viewing an open source game. He spicifically said he had an open game and that is like posting invites to your childs birthday party by posting fliers in the street for anyone to show up. Just STUPID!!!

And then to complain when he is the one that brought his child into harms way??? That is BULL!!! Take responsability!!!

Wow, that guy was some really at the peak of being a dumbas*.

Well I was subjected to violence, killing and horrors in my early childhood and I didn't kill anyone.
That neanderthal looking ars*hole don't count, he tripped and fell on my knife. Nine times.

Lifendz3439d ago

you are not a barometer or microchasm for the children of America. I'm glad you didn't kill anyone after being subjected to whatever you were subjected to but what's true for one is not necessarily true for all.

I'm not excusing the mistake the father made but I'm not, in any way, condoning the crap on XBL and/or PSN simply because you handled worse and turned out fine.

Here come the soccer moms, to blame everyone BUT themselves for their ignorance to the internet's dangers.

Capt CHAOS3439d ago

But really.. I mean just playing xbox live WITH A CAM??? and a random person is like opening a browser and selecting a random website, would you do that in front of a three year old?

Captain Tuttle3439d ago (Edited 3439d ago )

This happened to a GAFfer. I can't believe that someone who frequents NeoGAF would be dumb enough to enable the Live vision cam on Uno with a 3 year old in their lap.
