NPD: Capcom Strikes Gold With Lost Planet

The NPD Group released its North American sales estimates for January 2007, and the results painted a positive outlook for the future of original IPs on the Xbox 360. Taking the top slot this month on the console (ahead of sales juggernaut, Gears of War) was Capcom's Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Lost Planet was released early in the month to good reviews, and went on to be the top-selling game of the month across all platforms. (Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, Xbox 360)
