Metal Slug 7 is a fun game, and one that all Metal Slug fans should try out, although the Nintendo DS may not have been the best choice of platform. The run & gun gameplay offers a great but very short experience. You'll want to play through the seven levels again increasing the total gameplay to a few hours at best, so it's hard to recommend his as a full retail title. Those with an Xbox 360 should consider waiting to play the Live Arcade version, which will most likely be superior and cheaper. Ultimately the Nintendo DS version of Metal Slug 7 falls short of content, especially considering the lack of a much need multiplayer mode.
OXG talks about this week's game releases. Highlights include Coro Pata (DS import), Darius Burst (PSP import), Lina no Atelier: Strahl no Renkinjutsushi (DS import), Simple 2500 Series: Akuma Hunters – Exorsister (PSP import), and Metal Slug XX (PSP import).
It's Metal Slug. Nothing more, nothing less. Fans will love it but everyone else should track down the recent Wii anthology.
Garou: Mark of the Wolves comes out on Xbox Live Arcade this summer. Garou was announced with a slew of other SNK developed XBLA games like The King of Fighters: Sky Stage, which doesn't even have a release date.
Metal Slug 7 was previously announced as an Xbox Live Arcade game, but it was missing from the list. So, "Spencer" from siliconera.com inquired about it. Robert Macchiaverna, Acquisitions Manager at Ignition Entertainment, explained "It is still happening, but I believe that's scheduled to be a 2010 title." Ignition published Metal Slug 7 on the DS (pictured) in North America and has a close relationship with SNK. "Ultimate Match ['98] is coming out this year, but Metal Slug is not," Macchiaverna continued.
Just one more year. Maybe a two-thirds of year until co-op Slug Gigant action.
this game was a blast i still wonder why they didn't add wifi and multiplayer
if the 360 version had multiplayer i would consider buying it again
only problem is the length though kinda short
price as well
