By way of F.E.A.R. 2's French web site, developer Monolith has revealed the system requirements for its highly-anticipated first-person shooter. Posted below are the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin:
"You can test your gaming rig out on F.E.A.R. 2 when it releases this February. " No Sh*t.
Lol I loved your comment.
LOL MY PC WAS THE BEST TO RUN GAMES IN 05 now it just meets the minimum requrements, how technology advances.
Damn, my PC is so bad, it barely runs Pacman.
I have texture pop in and framerate drops when playing pong.
lmao, good stuff, both av a bubble for making me laugh.
Both my PC's exceed those requirements the only problem is fear 2 will not meet MY requirements. I found the first repetitive and boring, I get the feeling the second one will be more of the same.
My PC exceeds those recommended ones but damn how fast tech advances. Just one one or so year ago my computer was this super awesome gaming PC and now its only a decent one!
And that's one of the main problems with PC gaming. Devs optimize and focus on having the best performance on the newest PC components available. Which leave people with slightly older parts behind. They do not focus on producing games that are optimized for the most COMMON specs. When devs code for consoles they know that all of the systems have the same specs, so they can push and optimize the quality in a very specific manner.
..I'm getting this on PS3 regardless. Much easier to play on that and don't have to play with the settings....and the 52" HDTV is a plus too! :D
Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor family ☺ Fully DX9-compliant graphics card with 512MB (SM 3.0). ☺ 1.5GB RAM ☺ 12GB HDD ☺ Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1 ☺ Video is DX9.0c ☺ Sound DX9.0c compliant ☺ DVD ☺ Broadband (768kbit/sec upstream required to host 16 players) ☺
No problems with mhy specas.
My desktop can run just fine, slightly over the recommendation, but i might as well get it for my PS3.
Sweet, I definitely meet the recommended specs. FEAR 2 can only be truly experienced on the PC. Consoles be damned.
Not a problem with my PC should run it nice and smooth at 1920x1080
my 8500gt graphics card is now a big problem!
