RPGFan writes: "Welcome to RPGFan's Games of 2008 feature. Last year, we were not really happy with our system for choosing our Games of the Year so we skipped all the awards (apart from Overall Game of the Year) and decided to completely change our system in time for this year's awards. This new system involves a highly sophisticated and complex statistical system designed by the world's best mathematicians, statisticians and nuclear physicists. Following this, all the RPGFan editors are locked in a room for an intense 48 hours with no food, no water and no bathroom until all the winners for each category are decided... Okay, so maybe our new system isn't EXACTLY like that but we're still very proud of the results and hope you'll enjoy the fruits of our labor.
That being said, as you can see from the navigational system above, you can check out each editor's favorite 5 RPGs of the year along with any personal awards they wanted to give out, and we also have awards for the different genres of RPGs along with awards for every system. Of course, we also have the prestigious Overall RPG of the Year award in there."
