With almost all the game companies either slashing staff or closing shop, we found solace in the fact that good games still sold. Gears of War 2, Fable II, LittleBigPlanet, Call of Duty: World At War and Wrath of the Lich King have been the more successful franchises this past quarter, with each selling at least 1 million copies apiece. After all, if a game sells 1 million units, it's a hit, right? Not quite."
