Gamedaily writes: "Speaking at an investor conference in Arizona, Time Warner Chief Financial Officer John Martin noted that his company's acquisition of developer TT Games (responsible for the Lego branded titles) has been "wildly successful." Indeed, both Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones have been critical and commercial hits, and with access to the full Warner portfolio, TT should have no shortage of licenses to "Legoize."
But for Time Warner, which operates Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment as well, this could just be the beginning. Video games are a booming business, and the giant media corporation likely wants a bigger piece of the pie. Time Warner is expected to get a sizable cash windfall by spinning off Time Warner Cable, so speculation is high that Warner could use the cash infusion to sink its teeth into other video game companies."
