It's coming this month? I need to hurry up and finish the main campaign then.

Eurogamer seem to think so.. http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...

^^"The first of these, Operation: Anchorage, is due for release this month, with two others (The Pitt and Broken Steel) to follow in February and March respectively"

As a PS3 owner, this is DLC I actually care about missing. Really enjoyed this game.

Syko3179d ago

Ya it does suck you guys are missing out on this. I have over 60 hours in this game right now and can't wait for all 3 DLC packs. Especially when they raise the level cap.

CrAppleton3179d ago

I'm not 100% sure that PS3 users will miss out on this.. The press release from Bethesda says Xbox 360 & PS3.. hmm...

TheIneffableBob3179d ago

No, I'm pretty sure the PS3 won't be getting this DLC, at least not at the same time as PC and 360 users get it. Bethesda has an exclusive deal with Microsoft.

I own the game on 360 but I do agree buying out DLC is not cool. Everyone who bought the gam,e no matter what platform, should be able to enjoy it to its fullest.

Man, Oh man...This is supposedly in MS "Certification" now and should be available soon. However a Bethesda employee has stated that the DLC will not be released prior to the patch which is also undergoing MS Certification...So at the most it will be 2 weeks or so. Hopefully it shows up in the next few days. If you get a title update you know this is right behind it!

thereapersson3179d ago

So I wonder how Bethesda will shoehorn ninjas into the storyline? Or is this just something they added because it's "cool", and has no real bearing on the plot or story?

I'm curious to see how this DLC plays out...

Syko3179d ago

Well not sure how much you have read into it...But the Anchorage DLC is a "Simulation" which I imagine you access through a Pod or something. But the "Simulation" puts you as an active part in the liberation of Alaska. I am assuming that Ninjas played a role in this liberation!? lol.

thereapersson3179d ago

Hah, yeah, it's all very strange to me. Then again, I have a different stance than other people when it comes to this game. Bethesda kind of did their own thing in regards to the Fallout 3 canon. Sure, it makes for an immensely enjoyable game, but I think anyone who really got into the previous titles can see there are a lot of discrepancies.

Plus the AI glitches pissed me off numerous times, though Oblivion was the same way.

*shrugs*

This is just my view on the matter...

I assumed the "ninjas" were part of the Chinese occupying forces. Different cultures I know but I would assume that since this is supposed to be a simulation the government wouldn't split hairs like that. Remember the stuff Liberty Prime says at the end? Funny stuff.

I'm probably reading too much into it though.
