Screens after jump..
no matter how many times i see this game; it never fails to leave my jaw on the floor.
Ive seen too much. I just want this game in my hands already.
...... :'( Tears of joy.I never tought i will c graphics this good on a console. :'(
Lighting looks phenomenal and look at those gorgeous smoke effects
....HALO WARS! lol, had to.
Killzone 2 does look amazing. But it inferior compare to the HALO fanbase.
The amount of grey and brown is AMAZING.
That gray and brown is the fanboy covering your eyes or is it shadowboys nuts either way Cliffy is calling you apparently you have been ...a bad boy? I don't have a clue what he means?
Get your head out of Microsofts Butt and you wouldn't see grey and brown. You SICKO!
I wish my girl looked that good.
All the in-game (FPS view) screens show a different HUD. Is that an option or what? Unrivalled visuals. Really, really good.
the final build has no HUD under normal conidtions...ojbectives pop up at the top, grenade count, knife, and ammo count pop up when reloading or using the items...and everything fades away after a few seconds...its just a coincidence that it is different in each screen grab, watch the below video, you will see what you mean...the shot where you see the pistol and M82G rifle in the lower right of the screen is because he walks over a gun and collects ammo... GG said that would be the case all the way back at E3 in 2007...that eventually there would be no hud other than the reticle, and even that can be removed if you would like... visuals though...yeah...they are a big deal... watch this vid in HD...the last 20 seconds of that arc tower popping is simply crazy...its a cut-scene though...but GG confirmed every cut-scene to be entirely in game and only real time assets...seriously though...nothing touches this...
Haters be damned.
"but Gears 2... But Gears 2! BUT GEEEEEEEAARRRSSSSSSSSS TWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Wahhhhh *sniff sniff*" :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
lol @ all other consoles right now. Serious LoL. I cant wait to get this friggen thing. Its honestly unlike anything anyone has ever seen in their lives before on console, and you can only find it on.... ze ps tripple delaystation.
Time my friend, time. In the first place, they came up with an engine that was not only designed exclusively for the PS3, it was designed with its advantages in mind. Especially the lighting system. They are able to add hundreds of dynamic lights; and because the Cell is doing the calculations, it can handle them with ease. Then, they simply spent time polishing and perfecting every facet of the game. It's true, they've spent an awful lot of time on the graphics, but they have also spent time on the gameplay mechanics, the AI; no stone has been left unturned (or so we hope :) - the improvements from December to now are not because of any more power being squeezed out or whatever, they are simply tweaks and adjustments to make the lighting look that little bit more impressive.
well that tech director interview from December said otherwise (its on GT in HD, shows off some cool stuff, and its under the interview section)...he stated that they fell significantly under processing maximums in the preview code (as the entire goal was to have a rock solid framerate, as that was the biggest issue with killzone 1)...and was pleased that they were able to update some effects and lighting issues because of it...normal game development, its the opposite...where you get the game looking the way you want...then have to compromise little by little until its actually stable... that could have just been PR wash...but watching the review build in HD shows some major tweaks...with enemy muzzle flares...where the muzzle flash will light up stuff in front, and behind, more drastically now...creating dynamic shadows around everything...I paused a few instances where there were over 10 dynamic shadows being created by 5 different weapons going off at once...its subtle, but ridiculous... I do agree though that GG did a good job of building a game around their engines strengths...its pretty apparent that they focused a lot of the moody art around showing off the lighting...good move imo, as the lighting looks so fantastic; I'm glad they wanted to show it off often...its the opposite of Gears 2...where Epic put in the uncharted water effects...then basically built one level around showing it off...then wiped it under the rug...the water looked great, they should have used it more... also...like you said...other stuff was just normal tweaks...the color saturation was adjusted again...in a good way imo...and finally the blood was fixed...where at GDC they put in the dusty gray particle effects when shooting an enemy, with thick blood coming out still...but many complained that it sort of blocked how awesome the hit response system looked, as the enemy just became engulfed in a cloud of gray dust...making that cloud a red mist of blood did wonders to show off just how retardedly awesome it is to see a shock trooper getting flung all over the place from a full clip...
I want this game so badly! Its going to make you poop your pants!
I just pooped my pants from looking at the screenshots! Day one for me!
CGI. None of those screen are real in-game screen shots. Come on GG, you can do better than that. Quit posting cut-scenes and just show the gameplay!!
If your not. LOL!
Grey grey grey is all they say.. http://i44.tinypic.com/213j... says open your color blind fanboy eyes :)
it doesnt matter if the color palet is mostly grey, brown. also i think they have a lot of green, and lets not forget the part of the game that takes place in the desert....much more color variety. bad color palet is now the sadest excuse to put hate on killzone 2
Woah that looks intense
and i must admit it is absolutely gorgeous! However, this ps3 kz2 screenshot looks a little bit "ps2". http://i44.tinypic.com/213j... For comparative reference, here's some ps2 kz1 screenshots: http://au.gamespot.com/page... http://au.ps2.ign.com/dor/o... http://au.ps2.ign.com/dor/o... http://au.ps2.ign.com/dor/o... http://au.ps2.ign.com/dor/o... You must have had one hell of a PS2.
