Would you pay for a high quality video game podcast?

With today's big news of 1Up being sold to the Hearst Corporation thus resulting in the closing of EGM. The question of paying for podcasts has arisen again. While the vast majority of podcasts are free, the lure of independently supporting your favorite shows through a subscription could help some properties from being sold or even closed. In a world where the average gamer is of the age of 33, is a two dollar subscription to much of a burden? Yes there are some exceptions in the podcasting universe where advertisers make it worth while, but for the majority (myself included) it is only a delicate dream we are attempting to pursue...

In the same way I'd pay for a high quality song,I'd pay for a high quality podcast.
