PETA praises Fable II

PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has named Lionhead's Xbox 360 RPG Fable II in its 6th Annual Proggy Awards, naming it the year's "most animal-friendly video game".

The organisation said of the game: "Fable 2 is a vegetarian's dream come true. Why? In this virtual fight between good and evil, characters powered by tofu are just as powerful as their meat-eating counterparts – and are more fit and attractive to boot.

"Featuring a strong pro-vegetarian theme, eating a plant-based diet helps you rack up 'purity' points, whereas eating meat makes your character fat and evil. A fun and innovative game, it's also an effective tool that teaches gamers the real-life benefits of a vegetarian diet."

The story is too old to be commented.

I guess PETA does not have any issue with chicken kicking. Kicking is fine as long as you do not eat or wear the chicken. Oh ya, they must not mind eating chicks either, so they must be against the consumption of full grown chickens. Ya this is a pet friendly game...

Im sure you get an achievement in Fable2 for taking down a bunny rabbit (just turn safety mode off).

PETA - whoever next! Weight Watchers annouce that Lara Croft doesnt look fit in Tomb Raider because she's an adventuring lass but because she has a 'thing' for their yummy cake bars......

Another reason why I don't care for Fable 2.

Fable II will see sales off of this. Hippies everywhere will be singing Fable II's praises only to be followed by an extended chorus of Kumbaya.

Please don't disagree. You'll harsh my mellow, man.

They obviously didnt play the game. Yes you have a dog, but you can abuse him and make his sad. Eat chicks, kick chickens and shoot bunnies.
