Officials from Japanese publisher Namco Bandai have announced details of the company's third quarter financial results, for the period ended December 31st, during which profits were seen to jump by 112 percent.
For the three month period, revenues were ¥330.52 billion ($2.77bn), up 96 percent on the same period in 2005. Profit rose by 112.3 percent to ¥19.89 billion ($166.6m). The newly merged company's home video games business saw sales rise by 95 percent, from ¥43.22 billion ($362.1m) to ¥100.22 billion ($839.3m). Operating profit (net profit data was not revealed per division) rose by 77 percent from ¥7.73 billion ($64.7m) to ¥9.58 billion ($80.2m).
