Microsoft wants its games back off Woolies

CVG Write: Company prepares to take legal action.

Big name companies including Microsoft and EMI are preparing legal action against Woolworths' administrators in a bid to reclaim millions of pounds of stock.

LOL they wasted 500 million on DLC that nobody is going to buy and yet there taking a broke company to court for money?

Bnet3433396d ago

It was 50 million and people will buy it. Outside of N4G, GTAIV is a big game.

I think you mean 50 million on DLC that loads of people are going to buy (fastest selling game ever mean anything to you?). And them doing it also meant a lot of people bought the 360 version instead...The only people that don't seem to want it are people with a PS3...funny that.

"still has tens of millions of pounds worth of games" That's 10's of millions of pounds worth of their games, that they don't want to be sold off cheaply by the administrators and instead want their own games back so they can sell them at the usual prices. And this surprises you?!

games4fun3396d ago (Edited 3396d ago )

no matter how you slice it that 50 mill could be a game right now or even a studio?

R.I.P ensamble the price of your DLC in plain sight.

If you had told me that the creators of Age of Empires series would get the can even though all of thier games sell well i would have thought you were crazy, it just turns out only Msoft is crazy.

Losing an Age of Empires game to some extra missions in a game i would like to ask the gamers here was it really worth it?

also even if they Msoft has another studio make AoE, it wont be good without the creators behind the wheel.

another thing is that even if the Dlc gives them money there is no way they will be able to get ensamble studios employees back they will have already been snatched up by everyone esle in the industry.

Edit: if you disagree tell me where i went wrong

Not surprising though this is the first time I've heard of this type of lawsuit. Though with the economic times like they are I'm sure Sony/Nintendo and other publishers will join the lawsuit.

games4fun3396d ago (Edited 3396d ago )

i understand why Msoft would do this, its quite obvious that woolies might pull an msoft tactic and sell out all of the merchandise in thier warehouses to make a quick buck and taking a large ammount of merchandise Msoft would want to sell.

I would sue them too.
