Im seriously getting excited for this game! Can't wait to see more... The scope and scale and magnificence of the graphics is incredible!
Does it give you a raging clue?
lol I'm getting a raging clue right now
oh man im about to squirt clue goo all over
It's a South Park reference, dude. The Hardy Boys were totally gay and they were talking about getting Raging Clues. It was amazing!
omg this game looks so good it looks ray traced
Let me explain. They have very narrow and strict ways to move and by doing this they can push the visuals high as the sky. This is a smart way to not getting limited by the hardware your working with and fooling the player to think that the game is better looking/incorporates more freedom than it acually is. Still I could be wrong. Have to play the game and see for myself.
this game looks so good it's crazy! OMFG!!!
My excitement for this game grows everyday!
...so a raging clue means you have a happy for this game.
Gears of War2 syndrome? Wouldn't practically ever FPS or TPS the same "problem" then? Also... what would be your point? Even if it does follow the so called "syndrome" it looks better than anything with the same "syndrome" (excluding maybe KZ2/Crysis). Look at the curves on the chairs and the lamp. Curves! Not angular! Very impressive.
@ 1.7 StephanieBBB Yeah I think I know what you are talking about. Games only look as good as what the developers want you to see. In a game like this it may look amazing and be fairly non-linear, but something might be sacrificed such as possible places to go. Each stage/level might offer 3 choices causing the story to branch off many ways, but it is still restricted. ...Ehh Having a hard time explaining it in writing, but it doesn't matter as I am still high anticipating its arrival. I have no doubt it will be a fantastic experience.
Thanks for the clear up guys... Love south park but haven't seen the episode.. Thought it might be related to the "excitement" part hehe... Anyways, can't wait to see those screenshots in action!
this game is going to be insane. i wonder if a sequel to indigo prophecy is in the future as well.
Maybe but us Omikron fans have been waiting much longer ;) This game looks amazing but my only fear is a reduction in graphical quality when stuff is actually on screen like in those station pictures assuming their will be people in them.
i'm avoiding anything about this game. don't want to spoil anything. but yeah, i really liked Indigo. hopefully they'll make another one, but the surprises are gone though
a MUST buy game!!!
Look at that face! How the frick did they get it to look like that?
is so good in this game
In this case, "graphics" is used in the plural form. That constitutes the word "are" instead of "is", like you have typed out here.
Insane, iv never seen anything like it. Sorry, im looking foward to alan wake too it looks awesome but theres no way it comes close to the visuals of Heavy Rain
While I favor the PlayStation 3 for my general gaming purposes, I must defend Alan Wake and say that it's an entirely different type of game from Heavy Rain, so comparing the two is probably not the most purdent thing to do.
Yeah. From what I hear they've put a hell of a lot into the AW world and nearly everything is interactve-every car and building can be entered and is fully designed. It's an amazing undertaking esp if they pull it off and I'm expecting the PC version to be great(No longer have a 360 for it). That's, however, taking nothing away from the incredible visuals in HR which is getting more and more interesting every time I see a screenshot. Some of the detail is boggling and way better than I ever imagined I'd be playing at home one day. If the gameplay's as immersive as some reports say(from people who've played a bit of an earlier build)then it looks like a hell of an experience.
LinixGuru i agree mostly, but if you look around any alan wake or heavy rain article you will see many do it, you see there similar in the fact they both push the graphical limits and as always fanboys need to find something to compare resistance 2 and gears of war 2 where also compared.
LoL I said purdent....meant "prudent" lmao
Is it just me or the game looks f%#$ awesome
This game looks incredible!
Why? Graphics are nothing if the gameplay is poor. Not saying which is better, just saying we can't really tell at this point.
is the outside picture a real photo?
Game looks cool! Different but cool... Its a must play one way or another...
even though the ps2 graphics suck mega hard on a hd television the indigo prophecy is a hot game so far. I made it past the part in the office where you had to dodge all these visions the guy was having. It was making me scream to see this guy pull off themoves he was doing. Has anyone ever practice punching the heavy bag? I hope the combat Is the same. Right now I'm up to the part where yousave the little boy from drowning in a frozen lake. That old game is hot. You guys should dust off your ps2's or maybe use the bc in your super awesome ps3 & find that game before heavy rain comes out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Its pretty bada$$. Or Dont believe me & continue hating on things you've never tried or can't afford. I hope Sony puts these old games on psn soon. Like right before they drop killzone 2, god of war or heavy rain they release killzone, the god of war 1 & 2 & indigo prophecy. I mean, why not?
I'm actually looking forward to both games since both were announced. They both will be great in their own rights. Both games will keep me busy for a while once they drop, whatever I'm playing at that time, will get shelved for a time or hopefully, I'll be done playing them.
game looks amazing, can't wait til they announce release date
The game is looking beautiful, I just hope. . .it lasts a while.Sony says we'll get a movie like experience. . .I hope that doesnt mean it'll last and hour and a half.Im not expecting an onling MP or something. . .just, give me reason to go through a few times and maybe atleast 10-12 hours gameplay.use as much blu-ray space as you wanna.
i dont think they mean a movie in that aspect. If you have played indigo prophecy you would understand what they mean. The storytelling is gonna be like a movie. The way you interact with your character/environments/decisio ns will change every aspect of the story. It will have love/suspense/horror/comedy basically whatever they are gearing the story towards.
GT5 http://ps3.psu.com/screensh... MLB 09:THE SHOW http://ps3.ign.com/dor/obje... HEAVY RAIN http://ps3.ign.com/dor/obje... UNCHARTED 2 http://ps3.psu.com/screensh... KILLZONE2 http://ps3.psu.com/screensh... somehow,i think there are more games that sony is funding that are going to add to these games or even surpass them in photo realism.probably the BBC game will show up to blow these games away. something ken k. said a long time ago that ps3 would be able to do. PHOTOREALISM APOCALYPSE............
Ok, not to be a party pooper however these shots don't look that good. There seems to be low polygons and a rather muted look to the images. I still don't know what to think about a choose-your-own-adventure like game, but I'm willing to see how it pans out.
Like seeing variety. Wonder what the rest of the gameplay mechanics are like besides what's been shown. Can't wait to see more.
This game was not interesting for me when it was announced but Now its more like must have game as I see more and more detail. 53 days to kz2 .. yummmm
I think it looks better running than in these screenshots which are good but not amazing. Im really looking forward to Heavy Rain, probably more than any other PS3 game.
The screens are good but not amazing. The game looks better running than in these screens which are nothing we haven't seen before quality wise. Heavy Rain is the game im looking forward to most of Ps3 this year, i just hope it gets the marketing it deserves.
this is going to be great cant wait
If the graphics are the only thing getting you excited you might be disappointed in this game. From what I gather its going to be an interactive story where your character is basically on rails with you inputting only at certain moments. It doesn't sound like its going to have any open world free-roaming to it or anything like that. To me it sounds appealing, since I find enjoyment in those types of games, but the more action oriented player might be extremely disappointed.
I actually read David Cage (the director) saying that you will get to choose where to go and what to visit... So i don't think it as linear as people think... Either way, its my type of game... Plus, the adrenaline filled demo should be able to show action oriented people how action is paced in the game...
I don't think the environmental graphics are absolutely mind blowing in those screenshots. I think Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are better there, but we haven't seen much of this game in motion, which is where I think its true beauty will show. The character models are on-par with Killzone 2's, if not better. And I can't wait to see these environments sparkling with life, full of characters walking around in their mo-capped animations, and shimmering particles and lighting in the air. Oh, and a possible plot point; are those an angel's wings on the fence? There is a towering statue of a male angel carrying what appears to be a human in the train station.
This game looks groundbreaking, though I hope there will be a fair balance between story-telling and gameplay.
I never played indigo prophecy but I am really looking forward to Heavy Rain! This might be one of the few games that non-video game critics actually acknowledge as having a good story and is a work of art!
