You Gamers: Prince of Persia Review

You Gamers writes: "It's been almost twenty years since the original Prince of Persia appeared on the Apple II. After the franchise was officially re-booted with the superb Prince of Persia: Sands of Time in 2003, we've seen two not-quite-as-great sequels - The Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. This time the Prince is back for a second "re-boot", titled simply Prince of Persia. Ubisoft keeps on tweaking with the formula and this time we get a brand new visual style and a whole new storyline.

In a way this Prince of Persia game is a return to the roots of the series, to the theme of the stories of the Arabian Nights as seen in Sands of Time - gone is the Dark Prince and all the related crap that tried to make the last two games more "edgy". The biggest change to the formula is the new art style. It looks a bit like cel-shading, but it's definitely not cartoony and it's both different and incredibly beautiful." (PC, Prince of Persia Prodigy) 90/100
