Gamers does not equal anti-social.

italianbreadman2766d ago

Not at all. A recent study showed that gamers are more likely to go out socializing, be in intimate relationships, blah blah etc. If I had the link, I'd throw it on here.

I hate to admit it but this was surprising to me when I read it. But yeah there's what that other guy was talking about.

I think that probably has less to do with being a hardcore gamer than the fact that everyone plays games. If they don't play video games then they're into boardgames. And that's not a fair comparison. The world vs D&D players.

Some are, I'm guilty to some extent but I think it is more of a personality thing, people just like to see things the way they want to i guess

Negative points for referencing Staind in the article. But any New Yorkers looking for an arcade should check out Chinatown Fair. You'll get a whooping in Street Fighter II and all its derivatives.

people who are addicted to MMO's are anti-social

SirLarr2766d ago

It really depends how they play. Some MMO players that join open groups and use voice chat interact with more people than your average extrovert. The guy grinding drops off of a mob for eight hours solo probably doesn't get out much, though.

A lot of MMO users I know are antisocial, outside of their MMO realms...

When they are on a computer they are pretty normal though lol...
