Ars Technica writes: "Christmas is the time of year when families get together, presents are exchanged, huge meals are eaten, and everyone is as happy as they can be... ideally. In practice things are never that easy, and Christmas can be hard, especially for children who can't be with their families. Imagine you're in the hospital for the holiday season, trying to deal with being sick and not being able to take part in all the normal merry-making. It wouldn't be fun as an adult, but for a young child, it's even worse. So why don't we try to help people feel better?"
