According to the reviewer:
"I'm fully convinced that, if gamers give it a chance, Buccaneer may very well change the way many view independent games ... Hopefully, Buccaneer: The Pursuit of Infamy will end up being the first in a long line of superb Stickman Studios titles and, years from now, people will look back at it with fond memories and a pleasant sense of nostalgia."
GameKult: It is always exciting, playing pirates. Life on the water, idyllic scenery, the guns and the Collision knife between his teeth, buried treasure ... Buccaneer attempts to vibrate the string propelling us master of a vessel fleet of the Buccaneers' Or.
Buccaneer: The Pursuit of Infamy, the upcoming pirate adventure game for the PC from publishers Nobilis and Blitz Arcade, will be available across Europe on the 23rd of October.
Co-Optimus:
Everybody loves a good pirate game, and there never seems to be enough around. With the resurgence of such classics like Pirates! and more recently The Secret of Monkey Island, there might just be some momentum in the genre. Enter Buccaneer: The Pursuit of Infamy a PC game from independent developers Stickman Studios. It's all the pirate action, without the pirate mess. Aside from the booty, the best part of pirate games are the ship to ship combat, and that is what Buccaneer is all about.
There's a single- and multiplayer demo of the game on Steam right now. I highly suggest people download the demos and try them out.
I can't believe this is an indie game judging from how good it looks. Seriously I thought it was Sid Meier's Pirates! when I first saw it.
Definitely cool looking, and I love the idea of arcade-style controls for ships. It should make for some very unique battles.
