GameCyte interviews Rob Smith, author of Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts. Read on for an insightful analysis of the company's storied history, including the good, the bad, and the Masters of Teras Kasi.
Habitat. How many of you knew that LucasArts coined the term 'avatar' when they made the first graphical MMO -- and designed that MMO not for PC, but Commodore 64 -- and that the game ran on an early version of AOL? Haven't read the book yet, but if it includes interviews regarding Habitat, there will soon be a copy on my shelf.
Excellent interview. Need the book!
Ditto. LucasArts' history in game development is so varied and spawned such different times that it's going to be a hell of a read when Amazon mails it out. I just wish we WOULD get games like the Monkey Island series on XBLA so more people could experience them :(
