Edge writes: "An artist working for troubled developer Factor 5 has alleged in a blog post that the company has not paid its staff for a month, has cancelled a key project and is now making layoffs. The blog post has since been deleted."
I hope Microsoft buys them.
Yeah maybe you will get another flop like Lair.. lol
Microsoft will be saving there money to "try" and buy games next year because they ain't got any
Factor 5 had no problem making great games for the Gamecube. It's obvious the crippled architecture of the PS3 was the reason they failed with Lair so I'm not worried at all.
Jenzo, on the flip side Rare had no problem making great games for the N64. It's obvious the crippled architecture of the 360 was the reason they failed with every 360 game they've released so I'm not worried at all. Square Enix had no problem making great games for the PS2. It's obvious the crippled architecture of the 360 was the reason they failed with every 360 game they've released so I'm not worried at all.
It's obvious you haven't played Banjo: Nuts & Bolts.
If EA, (as big as they are) are making cuts, then no one is safe. -Games will be slashed -Salaries diminished -Pink slips handed out -Money will be owed But what does it take for this insider info to come out besides a disgruntle employee? Hey look at TECMO. Right now if your game is not selling, then you might be in trouble.
WHY PANTIES WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!
who is factor five again honestly droids are hyping these guys way to much
They made Rogue Squadron series, Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures and Lair. If you've been playing games for more than a few months, you'd know about them. They've made awesome games, but just didn't deliver with Lair.
3 of those games you mentioned are garabge p.s ive played games for more than 11years had a sega saturn,neogeo,ps1,ps2,xbox 1,xbox 360,snes,n64, and many more thprw my life and all those games you mention are crap nothing special .lvl 5 are no 1s same as free radical you swines try to hype
I feel bad for these guys but business is business. All fingers point to Lair.
If that post is real, the guy is a baby. If you lose a job, move on to another. He just burned a bridge at F5
at its finest no doubt...
A lot of time, effort, and money was put into that one exclusive game, and that ended up being a mistake. It was a risky move on their part, and unfortunately, design choices and bad reviews probably killed this game. Not to mention a small install base for the PS3 compared to its competitors. This is why there are still so many other studios that haven't made the jump to this generation yet. If you don't go multiplatform with your games, then you run the risk of putting yourself in the hole.
Perhaps had they released lair multiplatform, they wouldn't be in such a quandary.
