"Sure it is for a one-day deal only, but 33% off a new-release game, especially a popular one, is near unheard of."

Not really. If you shop around, these kinds of deals happen all the time. The PC version of Left 4 Dead sold for $20 on Amazon during the Black Friday weekend. It sold out a couple minutes after the deal went live, though.

it still not enough when the campaign is super short.

With the AI director it's never the same game twice. This game doesn't have a campaign in the traditional sense. It also has multiple paths to get from one point to another so that adds some variation. I have a feeling Valve will be doing lots of DLC with new area's in coming months. I just hope they are free or very reasonably priced considered the initial $60 and what you get with it.

Considering the amount of content in this game (or lack thereof), this game should have launched at a $40 price point. Banjo Kazooie did that and even THAT game lasted longer than L4D. I think Valve ripped off a lot of customers.

hence why I just purchased it today....couldnt justify the 60 bucks for a weak SP game and a MP game with 4 scenarios..
