Boomtown: Resident Evil 5 hands-on impressions

From the preview:

The graphical presentation is superb. The animation first class and the cut-scenes well directed, but it's not Resident Evil anymore. It's a third-person shooter that has some control issues but has some satisfying weapons. Hopefully these two scenes that I've been treated to in the demo don't show all the aspects of the gameplay and what I've described above is just a short break from the otherwise excellent, unique, Resident Evil-like norm.

I want my Survival Horror back!

in part because i agree with the assessment of the game. hey,i liked RE4 but at the end i was left feeling like i hadn't played RE but some new action/shooter. RE5 looks to continue this trend and i wonder: where did "survival horror" go to? i think capcom should write a huge check to Shinji Mikami and get him back for RE6!!
i want "survival horror" when playing RE......not a shooter.

I agree with some of the article's opinions/points, but do not agree that the article is well-written; spelling errors and a generally amateurish style abound. Proof read, proof read, proof read! Listen ta what yur mama told ya :)

2.1 - Do you know what an editor is?

really, i meant "well written" because the author makes many points that i agree with. i'm not so anal-retentive to be breaking down articles or forum posts for grammatical correctness.

"Them," you mean... the government? :)

It couldn't hurt to make at least one of the "old-fashioned" Resident Evil types... just one?! Come on... just one more mansion and you don't have to make another, deal?
