Gamerlimit.com is taking a look at 5 games coming out in the first quarter of 2009. Five games bold enough to be released after the holiday season. Five games that are coming out long after gaming fatigue has already kicked in.
i would personally add GT5 and Uncharted2 on that list cause im not a pc gamer. Wouldnt include GOW3 simply cause it probably wont make it in before the end of 09.
"Gamerlimit.com is taking a look at 5 games coming out in the FIRST QUARTER OF 2009" Reading is fundamental.
i just want Prototype F*ck fanboy and system wars i just want that game for the 1st quarter
What's prototype about? I've heard about it from a friend, but I don't really understand the game.
Yes the article is about games that are coming out first quarter. Anywho I'm looking forward to all the games on the list except Halo Wars (I don't care for RTS). Graphically it looks like Halo 3 from the pic. just zoomed out really far, and with larger vehicles. As far as prototype it's an open world game where the main character was part of some government experiment, which has now be unleashed upon the city. Now you must reclaim you memories by taking peoples identities and find out what's going on. Prototype's is an open world game that seems to play like The Hulk and Spiderman games, but extremely brutal and actually looks good.
http://www.gametrailers.com... I don't think much is known about the overall plot. It looks like a virus broke out, and you're somehow specially immune or were experimented on. Whichever scenario somehow gives you special powers. You also apparently have amnesia. It sounds very similar to inFamous, except you have powers that have something to do with the infection, rather than lightning (this is mostly speculation based on what I've seen so far). I think inFamous will probably be better though. I haven't heard anything about Prototype since a bad preview on G4 a few months ago (either the controls/game was horrible to play, or the person playing was an idiot because they were all over the place). I don't even know when its coming out anymore.
KZ2 RE:5 SF4.... I dont need any more games till summer....^.^
Q1 2009 for me: Skate 2, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5. BOOYAH!!! :o
-10 for the Xbox camp. I have nothing worth mentioning against Heavy Rain, Killzone 2, MAG, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, etc......
SO MANY RUMORS ON UNCHARTED 2, GOW3, GT5, AND TEAM ICO GAME COMING IN 2009. I SERIOUSLY THINK THAT IF THIS IS TRUE, 2009 COULD HAVE THE BEST LINEUP OF ALL TIME. EDIT: LOL I FORGOT HEAVY RAIN, INFAMOUS, THE REAL COD5 (INFINITY WARD BABY), BIOSHOCK 2 (HELL YEAH!), SPLINTER CELL, R&CF:TOD2, AND (MAYBE) ALAN WAKE!
I have high hopes for Street Fighter 4 especially after playing Street Fighter HD Remix on Xbox Live. EDIT* I have a simple mod on my dpad that works like a charm. I have no problem throwing fireballs or uppercuts.
wow i feel sry for ur fingers....that D pad for fighting games is just ugh
Even the DS3 d pad hurts thumbs after extended play. Got to get arcade stick.
While you can get use to the controller, this game was built for the arcade. I don't know how you play Street fighter with a controller. It's like using a PS3 or 360 controller to play a FPS on a PC. Arcade stick are much better. Well, for me anyways. The only drawback is the price(depending on which one you buy). Making a custom one will cost you about $150+. Definitely worth it IMO.
PS3 d-pad is great, and normally most people don't play fighting games for hours and hours so I find it hard to hurt your hand. I however, can play with arcade sticks at all, I don't like the control of the sticks and after a couple of minutes my wrist starts hurting terribly.
I already have RE5 and Kill Zone 2 as 'must haves'.
2009 like 2008 but with even better ps3 games.
better than 2008 which is quite incredible considering how a great year it has already been. Next year, this generation with leave its mark in history with games such as Heavy Rain (EU version will be uncensored), God of War 3, Killzone 2, King Of Fighters 12, Street Fighter 4, inFamous, UFC 09, Dragon Age Origins and many many others. Notice tghe presence of exclusives. Only talking about consoles here however. I don't really care for PC games except if it's a non-mmo Blizzard game and Baldur's Gate. And let us not forget the incredible Chronicles of Riddick Dark Athena or even Ghostbusters.
Seriously.. 2008 has been pretty damn amazing but looking at the list of 2009 things can only be better and better. Can be crucial for developers, it's the year of "Did they live up to the hype and promises?". Sony and GG with KZ2, Capcom with RE5 and SF4, SE with FF, Sucker Punch with InFamous, Alan Wake... if that's coming. Not adding GoW3 and Heavy Rain to the list since that could also be a 2010 release.
Does that refer to my lack of money do to all these grate games?
2009 is going to be another leap of for the PS3 over last year. It seems that every year the PS3 takes a leap forward with it's exclusives to show off the systems capabilities even more. I can't wait to see what else developers can squeeze out of the PS3, because as of now it seems to only get better with time. Launch R1 2007 Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, Motorstorm 2008 MGS4, R2, GT5: P, LBP, Motorstorm: PR 2009 Killzone 2, GOW3 (hope '09), Heavy Rain, GT5, Uncharted 2, Crysis (rumored), etc... On the other hand I can't wait to see what the 360 and Wii have planned too. I hat the MS doesn't show off games in advance, because I don't know how much money I need to save up to get their games. On the other hand if Nintendo can put out some good games I may think about buying a Wii again this holiday season when they have a price drop (truly doubt this will ever happen thanks to the casual gamer) or add more features to the system.
MAG, Ratchet & Clank, Infamous, maybe even Team Ico if we are lucky. On MS side you will probably see Forza3, atleast 1 Rare game, hopefully Alan Wake from Remedy, and already announced games like Halo Wars and Halo 3 expansion. They probably have something else up their sleeves aswell. But Shane Kim was talking about less hardcore games coming in 09 though, so that might not be a good sign. Alan Wake is definately the game i look the most forward to on MS side.
2009 for the PS3 is mind blowing in terms of sheer number of exlusive AAA titles.
