Game Argus writes: "Everyone expects a sequel to be bigger, more intense, and overloaded with new stuff. Gears of War 2 takes this to heart, creating a sequel that literally overwhelms the first game to the point where it feels useless and weak. How there could ever be something on a larger scale than this is truly unbelievable.
With its heavy gun battles and towering buildings, the first Gears didn't even tough the surface of the Locust war. It looked massive, but it wasn't even close to the sheer spectacle of Gears 2. The opening training mission is the only time where this sequel feels like the same scale. After that, this is an entirely new war."
