Marquee videogames regularly get flanking mobile titles. Some of them feel like organic creations designed to open the universe to a new audience. Some seem only like an attempt to grab a little cash while riding the momentum of the source material. Saints Row 2 for mobile exists somewhere between these two extremes. It's an ambitious game trapped by the limitations of mobile, forced on to the decks by somebody that didn't care whether or not the platform could actually support an open world game.
