Blizzard's COO Paul Sams revealed in an interview recently that their production team have decided on the general framework of World of Warcraft's next expansion.
Well, my theory is actually that they already have the next 3-4 ones more or less lined up in terms of planning, but that they are still all open for change. They have at least 5 year or more *plans* for WoW, without a doubt...
you'd expect so! I mean they have been sitting on this growing pot of gold known as WoW for ages now! I bet they've had enough time to plan the next 50 years of Blizzards future!
I wonder if there aiming for one next year like they said they'd like to be doing... i doubt it but still it seems like there moving as fast as possible
Actually, I'm pretty sure they are aiming for a "next year" (meaning early 2010), but whether or not they are able to is another thing. I don't think anyone over there are disappointed if they don't do one every 12 months, honestly. But I'm sure they would like the dough! ;)
wow, WoW is moving fast!
Deciding an expansion and releasing is not the same thing, silly =)
At BlizzCon they insisted they really didn't know what was next, that they were totally focussed on Lich King. I guess they don't hang around at Blizzard ^ ^
I'm pretty sure they just said that to avoid stupid journalists taking the flare away from WotLK until it shipped and stopped selling copies ;)
Good to know that lvling to 80 is already obsolete!! Keep it up Blizz!
How so? You have to hit 80 to hit 90, and if you don't enjoy doing what you can do at the max level cap, then you shouldn't be playing it at all. On the other hand, I seriously doubt you actually do play WoW.
Well yeah you have to pass 80 to get to 90, but all the time in between grinding for get at 80 is pointless once you hit 81. I played WoW for a long time. I am a reformer and can not get all the time lost back, so I am bitter! lol... dont hate me because I am not a mindless puppet paying blizz 15 a month and wasting all my free time grinding so I can get some other person the gear I need.
Any time spent doing anything is time you cannot get back. thats a pointless and retarded excuse for not liking the game any more. People will not hate you. they may pity you or feel sorry for you but they wont hate you.. After all you seem to think its better to buy a new game for 60.00 then to pay for WoW for another month at 15.00. Anyone who thinks its better to spend more money and it some how makes them better then those that do not is someone I pity.
Wow has changed but its been the same since it became an MMO. I think the first Warcraft rts games were better then what it is now known as. As a matter of fact, I stopped playing the game when it turned into a fake @ss online rpg. WoW sucks and I dont know how anyone could enjoy this game after playing it for as long as its been out. You people need to get a life,.
...How exactly is it a "fake online RPG"? It fulfills all the necessary criteria of belonging in the genre.
are in Guild Wars. Especially the ancestral BG. It's almost the exact repleca of the PVP stage Fort Aspenwood
People who spend their time doing what they enjoy need to get a life but you who has to spend his time talking about something he hates has no need to get a life? Please.... The first thing you need to do is follow your own advice, stop wasting your time on things you dont like and spend it on things you enjoy. Unless your life is just so pathetic that you actually enjoy wasting your time on things you hate..
lol my freind senior life was ruined because of WOW, be careful it can consume yu.
This is why I dislike it, but all addicts will defend to death.
"Always do everything in moderation, even World of Warcraft!"
Screw World of Warcraft expansions were is Warcraft 4 ..... iv been waiting years for this game
I thought WoW was going to be it as far as the Warcraft series was concerned, but a blizz rep said something about War4 using the same design SC2 does... so it's definitely in the works.
I bet blizzard is going to try to do their own version of mass sieges, and guild wars, If they were to implement that, and pull it off, WOW would finally offer its number one missing feature. (i would also like to see hero classes, but i am starting to think we will never see them) :(
Yeah, i don't think Death Knight counts Death Knight is just a new class all together. The original concept of the Hero classes were, after a certain level, you could specialize in a certain category, for example the priests can go (shadow or holy) and once you do that, you are forever that side. Whats neat about this, is that, this can double the number of classes, (maybe triple, depending on how they let you do it) and it will then, let you specialize even further in what you like, Example: the new shadow priest hero class, would then have 3 paths he could go down. :D
NO the Death Knight is the first "Hero" Class in the game. Blizzard made no secrets about it since they were first announced.
Are they serious with wording the title of the article like that....
I want to see Blizzard see their MMO empire burn so they can start thinking up new things.
Want it to die? i would disagree to that, and most ppl would, even if they are tired of WOW. and what other things? their production release seems to be at an all time high, and you can thank a big part of that , due to the revenues generated by WOW :)
