Nier Replicant is dropping next week, so here’s why its revolutionary sequel is worth your precious time.
Stellar Blade's creative director, Hyung Tae Kim, has also claimed that the game is deeply inspired by Nier: Automata.
I feel like Yoko is downgrading Automata because he has expressed multiple times he'd like to revisit the universe, but Squenix hasn't been keen about it. We know he loves 2B and would love to take her out for another spin, so maybe this is how he gets the company to think about it.
I get he's giving them some credit, but i strongly disagree based on the demo. I honestly don't think any aspect of it feels good, it's not bad, it's just kinda ok but definitely a little jank. Also the souls like formula it is adopting does not help it imo. I was looking forward to this for years, now im just kinda let down honestly 🫤
Man exputer can you stop putting words like that after someone's name, i read Yoko Taro Passes and just went blank
(From the demo) Stellar has better direction in terms of stage layout if you like that ninja gaiden type feel. Nier is more polished by far.
IGN: "We talk to Yoko Taro and Hyung-Tae Kim about the ways that Stellar Blade is inspired by NieR: Automata, comparisons between EVE and 2B, and much more."
A sequel to Square Enix and Platinum Games' action role-playing game, NieR: Automata, has been teased by series creator Yoko Taro.
If it can be done right then amazing, yes please. Yoko Taro seems to change it up each time so I'm curious what a 'sequel' really means.
Tifa is a good sign. There's at least some hope, lads.
Just maybe they'll leave things alone.
Plus, like people are saying - Taro don't play that sh*t.
Enjoyed so far the time I've played it, but with a huge backlog and a other games I've been playing with friends/family, not to mention open-world fatigue, I haven't sank as much time into the game as I want to as with most games in the backlog. (I think when there's one particular game leaving XBGPU I'll put extra effort, like with Indivisible and Bloodstained: RoTN), other than that I try to spread my time between a few, and like I said, it's a quite enjoyable game when I play. I have the Japanese version and using the Japanese dubs. Great voice acting, story is unraveling so far in a way that creates a contained rather narrative than expanding on the past, so far, at least since I haven't played the original (so that's actually good). World seems interesting enough and well done artistically, I love a post-apocalyptic environment, especially when it's mysterious. I love the combat system so far, with plugin-chip modifications with sets(And weapon) and for the pod, freeze or quick-style usage of "potions". I feel like the variance of enemies so far are only entertaining in that it's a new enemy, but doesn't pose a threat.. while regular enemies can be hard at times if not paying attention, it's just easy come easy go, and occasionally times I will die when not watching my health. But the bosses/mini-bosses have been pretty fun AF, I had to change my setup a lot to make it easier, and I'm only playing on normal. However, I don't die often with the bosses, either, It's pretty manageable with the range of customization they have implemented, which is why I feel it's well done.(or you can grind away at it with base) .
It's an OK game. Alot of people make this out to be some sort of masterpiece, it's not. It's enjoyable when you're playing as 2B and A2 but 9S is easily the worst part about this game and half of the time you will spend it playing as him... Wish someone had told me that before I started.
The game is brilliant, I just finished it a few weeks ago on Series X with gamepass. Kind of sad that it went this long under my radar, but it was worth the wait to play it in 4k 60fps.
