Toronto Thumbs writes: "James Bond is an icon I have admired since I was a kid: suave with the ladies, smart in the battlefield, and a snappy dresser to boot. He was a character I always wanted to be like. Since I've sadly been unable to reach my childhood dream of being a double-0 agent, I'm fortunate to have had a myriad of Bond games over the years that have allowed me to step into the shoes of the fictional hero. Quantum of Solace is the first Bond entry in this generation of gaming, and fittingly the debut of Daniel Craig as the game's star. Though we may have seen a lot of what Quantum of Solace has to offer us in other games, it does offer a few interesting mechanics as well as some classic Bond game-play that may make it worth picking up.
Though there is nothing spectacular about the presentation, the most important aspect, James Bond himself, is really well represented. For now, Daniel Craig is Bond, and the graphics team did an excellent job in recreating his likeness on-screen. I did find the environments as well as the generic "bad guy" characters to be lacking the same polish that went into Bond, however, which was noticeable enough to detract from my overall experience."
