KeenGamer: "The Sega Game Gear was ahead of its time compared to Nintendo’s Game Boy but can be hard to go back to today with its blurry screen and unreliability. However, there are solutions to enjoying the Game Gear's library without the headaches."
The Razer Iskur V2 is a high quality, premium gaming chair that your back will thank you for.
AMD has long been the best value option if you're looking for a new GPU. Now even their latest Radeon RX 7000 series is getting cheaper.
With all the PlayStation games that are now coming to PC, is it time for Sony to release a dedicated PC launcher?
Unless they are trying to kill their recently created PC business, I would advise against opening a dedicated PC store. It's an extremely hard endeavor, and people, in general, are very comfortable with Steam. Even Epic, with their billions of dollars invested, is still struggling to find a foothold, and they have Fortnite.
Can tell who ever put this together is not all that clued up on pc gaming.
It's just a known fact. The PC gaming community prefer Steam and Steam alone. They don't like different launchers. I personally don't mind them. But majority just stick with steam. Hence why EA and Ubisoft went back to on releasing on steam and why Microsoft release games on steam as people hated buying from the windows store.
The only other launchers that I imagine are doing ok is GOG due to being drm free and epic games due to the free games every week. Sony shouldn't release any sort of pc launcher n
This is just another ridiculous double standard article.
It's like how Microsoft can spend 20 years of making nothing but gaas and live service style games to sell microtransactions, dlc and subscriptions and get praise for doing it, but if Sony wants to make a single game like that every website under the sun is writing articles saying how Sony is anti-consumer or whatever.
Of course the Mejesco Game Gear will not have capacitor issues there is a just about a 10 year gap from when the real Game Gear came out and the Majesco Game Gear and of course the screen will look better LCD technology improved when the Majesco Game Gear came out as well. Look at the Atari Lynx and Turbo Express they have issues with their screens because they are well played and old and electronics do get tired when they are old. Early 1990's other electronics had capacitor issues as well they were botched the moment they were made. As for the screen that can happen to anything look at some of the old spinach coloured Game Boys looks like some one dropped a rock on their screen screens fail after being almost 30 years old. The Sega Nomad is also notorious for failing and leaking capacitors and the screen looking like garbage. The McWill mod for the Game Gear is worth doing and so are the capacitors if you know what you are doing the Game Gear is a great console a portable SMS if you can find the adapter at a decent price. I wish Sega had an adapter to play Game Gear back on the Genesis but they couldn't because the Game Gear displays a higher colour palette the both the Genesis and the SMS.
I had someone do the McWill mod and new capacitors on my Game Gear and its still a great little hand held yeah it's a battery hog but it does have some decent titles. The rerelease they did for the Game Gear that was a poor choice 4 different colours with 4 different games the screen being to small and the buttons being so small. I would grab it up as a collector but I wouldn't play them and enjoy them like my real Game Gear.
I remember finding one of these in a yard sale sometime in my early years of high school for just a few bucks.
Was an awesome little handheld, but ate through batteries like nobody's business.
Lol even Sega fanboy won't say that. It was a terrible console, even in 92.. It was huge, tiny screen, 2 buttons and start, 6 lithium batteries that last max 15 min.
😂 I'll never forget how many batteries I went through owning this🤣
It's actually quite easy to get a recapped Game Gear off of eBay or another ecommerce site.
