X360: Need For Speed Undercover Review

So, flawed genius then, made all the more tragic by its choice of setting, almost Ridge Race-like in its brilliance (and accompanied by reminiscent music, too). As a game alone it's Ambrosia with attitude, suitably varied and above all fair. However, a combination of overfamiliarity, poor presentation (bizarrely enough) and some pretty basic technical errors leaves it feeling unfinished and unworthy of too high a score. Through gritted teeth it's better than Midnight Club, but only just.
